This book imparts more than the title, Much wisdom on the general administration of the anointing from ministry is revealed. Introduction Revival is exciting, and increasingly God is pouring out His Spirit worldwide with miracles, signs and wonders in these last days. For a number of years, by God’s grace, it has been my privilege to minister and witness the Lord’s power in supernatural manifestations, but I am convinced that the Church is just warming up for what’s to come. I have seen many churches and individuals changed by the anointing of God’s presence. Revival does many things for God’s people, but according to the Scriptures, the simplicity of joy must be restored and emphasized. Biblically and experientially, I am convinced that anointed laughter is a wonderful gift from God that is refreshing and healthy for the Church. Of course, such laughter is only one kind of response to the inner joy God gives us along with dancing, shouting, singing, jumping, tears of joy, etc. No doubt that issues of sin, love, holiness and the fear of the Lord are all included in any move of God, but my purpose for this book is to encourage the subject of joy and laughter based on the Bible. When you have finished reading this book, I trust the Holy Spirit will have revealed how all these subjects actually tie together. In 1987 at a minister’s meeting in Kansas, a prophet ministered to me, and a number of encouraging supernatural things took place. One of the things that happened was that I laughed nonstop for about two hours while feeling ‘drunk in the Spirit’. Laughing with Jesus was not foreign to me, but this was the first time I recall such an experience after hands had been laid upon me for prayer. I had no idea of its prophetic impact for the adjustment of my ministry four years later. I often use the word ‘anointing’ throughout this book. For the sake of clarity, I define it as ‘a rich endowment of the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit to furnish what is needed’. I have derived this from the root Hebrew and Greek meanings. Also, as you read italicized quoted scriptures, you will notice some portions capitalized. I have done this with the intent of emphasizing a point being made in the context of discussion. As I have taught the things in this book in numerous churches over the years, again and again I have seen the Spirit of God move upon congregations even while trying to preach. People have spontaneously begun to laugh and rejoice in a positive and fruitful way for God’s glory, and many have even become joyfully ‘drunk in the Holy Ghost’. With lives changed and bodies healed, wonderful testimonies have been in abundance. I am humbly confident that the anointing of the Holy Spirit is upon this book, and I encourage you to experience His presence while reading it.
